About Us

Established in 1979, GCBHS has been serving the community for over 30 years. We offer a full continuum of care that includes assessment, counseling and treatment for mental health concerns and addictive disorders. We also offer crisis intervention and a community-based, adult crisis stabilization unit. Services are provided regardless of income. We accept Sooner Care, private insurance and private pay. We also have agreements with various organizations to provide Employee Assistance Services (EAP). Our programs are partially funded by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services to provide care for under-served individuals.

GCBHS collaborates with the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services to offer an employment program to individuals in the community who have mental health/substance abuse issues and/or physical disabilities.

In addition to our main office in Muskogee, we also provide services at our satellite office located in Eufaula, Oklahoma. In 1997, we became the grantee for Muskogee County Head Start, and in 2001 Early Head Start was established. Head Start services are enhanced by our Smart Start Program which strives to create positive changes for young children by bringing needed resources and people together.
