Leadership Team
Joy R. Sloan, LCSW
Chief Executive Officer
Joy has been with Green Country as a full time employee since 1992. Throughout this
time she has performed many clinical duties, however her primary focus has always
been in the area of crisis services. Joy served as the Clinical Director for several
years before being hired as CEO in January of 2009. She received a master’s degree
in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma and is a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker.
Joy loves her hometown and is committed to the growth of the community. “I love
the history we enjoy and the possibilities of the future. There are so many great
things about our community. My hope is that Green Country continues to be a vital
spoke in that wheel of making our community great.”
Carla Lovelady
Chief Fiscal Officer
Carla was first employed with GCBHS in 1986 as Financial Services Coordinator and
became the Chief Fiscal Officer in 2006. Carla is a graduate of Oklahoma State University
with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Mark Johnson
Information Technology Director
Mark has been employed with Green Country Behavioral Health Services since 1995.
He has served GCBHS as the IT Director for the last 12 years. Mark is a graduate
of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science
in Business Administration.
Diane Woodard
Muskogee County Head Start/Early Head Start Director
Diane was employed with GCBHS in 2011 as Head Start/Early Head Start Director.
She has 19 years of experience in Head Start, holds an Oklahoma Early Childhood teaching certificate,
and is a graduate of Northeastern State University with a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education.
Cheryl Nelson
Contracts Compliance Director
Cheryl has worked at GCBHS since 1988, beginning in data processing and medical
transcription. She also performed administrative contract work at Green Country
through the agency’s first board president in 1980.
Cheryl has been a member of the GCBHS leadership team since 1989, and has worked
in several administrative/supervisory positions. She became the agency’s Contracts
Compliance Director in 1996, and also serves as the grant writer for GCBHS and Head
Start/Early Head Start.
Lisa Deason
Clinical Director
Lisa has worked for GCBHS since 1996. She has overseen our children’s programs since
1998 and has been the Clinical Director since 2009.
Lisa has specialized training in the areas of trauma and attachment work and was
an adjunct instructor at Langston University and Tulsa Community College for many
years. She has provided workshops for the Casey Foundation, the University of Oklahoma
National Resource Center, and for the Department of Human Services. She is the past
president of the Oklahoma Play Therapy Association and past board member for the
Laura Dester Shelter.
Lisa has a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Community
Counseling from Oklahoma State University. She is licensed by the State of Oklahoma
as a Professional Counselor.
