Employee Assistance Programs
Green Country Behavioral Health works with area businesses to provide comprehensive
Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) for their employees.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are employee benefit programs offered by many
employers, typically in conjunction with a health insurance plan. EAPs are intended
to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely impact their
work performance, health and well-being, and generally include assessment, short-term
counseling and referral services.
The issues for which EAPs provide support vary, but examples include:
- Substance abuse
- Anger Issues
- Emotional distress
- Major life events, including births, accidents and deaths
- Health care concerns
- Financial or legal concerns
- Family/personal relationship issues
- Work relationship issues
- Concerns about aging parents
EAPs may also provide other services to employers, such as supervisory consultations,
training and education programs, and critical incident services.
The program is designed to address problems in the least restrictive and most convenient
manner for the employee and the employer. The provision of employee assistance services
has established business benefits, including reduced medical costs, increased productivity
of employees, and decreased absenteeism and turnover. We have prepaid and pay as
you go plans for prospective employers to cover their employees’ EAP needs.
